I think there is a row of swamp roses along the west side of Willow Avenue along the Waterfront Trail. This row was reduced when the Guthrie building went in, but about a quarter of the row survives opposite TCAT. There is also a bed of swamp roses in a centre bed in a Cornell parking lot on the north side of Tower Road, near Stocking Hall. They have an unforgettable fragrance.
I know that row of roses across from TCAT--they used to run all the way from the former Haunt to the golf course? I never knew they were native roses! I was always tempted to swipe some flowers for herbal medicine, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
