Mmmmmmm! I keep falling more in love with your writing, every time you post. This is exquisite; the idea of absorption time *and* your telling of it. 💚
This sounds so delicious. What is this amazing Inn? I need to plan another short writing retreat soon and Saltonstall only lets you book once in a school year, so I've already used up that option.
Argos. It is so so beautiful. Because it’s on E. State, there IS traffic noise. That didn’t bother my reading, but it’s not the glorious hush of Saltonstall. (And crepes at the Coal Yard Cafe!)
I am late to the party, Sara, but delighted with this idea. It is so hard to make that space, and is actually my novena petition this time. I believe that the dopamine hits have really taken their toll on my own reading ability as well… prior to the wide availability of information I would need to go to a bookstore or library to fill in information I desired from something I was reading, instead of what I do now - drop the book and look up on Wikipedia, etc.

You’re my very favorite. ❤️
What a lovely piece and an enticing book list! Thank you for the reminder to take time to find ourselves fully absorbed.
Thank you for reading, Amanda.

Girl, I think you’ve garnered me ten new subscribers. Thank you!!
